My personal tribute to my friends that have left this world, hopefully for a nicer place in Heaven. I miss you all very much.
IN MEMORY - NORM VAN TASSEL
Norm was a Korea Veteran and did a lot of good things to help the Veterans. He was also Ginger and Tara's daddy and was good friends with my daddy. He even let Daddy and Wayne and a couple of other friends use his cabin for a fishing holiday. Norm will be missed by everyone and I am sure that he is up in Heaven now playing with Ginger and marching around the Parade Square with all his old friends.

I just heard some very un-nerving sad sad news this morn
About the passing of a good friend whom we all know as Norm
Norm was a veterans' advocate - he lived in the 'Peg
For veterans' rights and recognition from Ottawa he'd beg
He named peacekeeper lakes, built monuments and more
He advocated for recognition for the forgotten Korea War
Norm stepped on some toes but he did make his mark
He made sure Ottawa's bureaucrats didn't keep us in the dark
Norm's up on that cloud square now he has fought the good battle
Don't rest easy in Ottawa - don't think there'll be more hassle
Norm's friends will continue to shake the bureaucratic rattle

IN MEMORY - WAYNE
Uncle Wayne was a good friend and always liked to play with me. Daddy and Wayne used to go fishing every year and always had a good time. We all miss Uncle Wayne alot.
IN MEMORY - ELEANOR
Eleanor (Baba) was our next door nieghbour and she was a really nice lady. She always had a cookie or treat for me whenever I went to visit. This is a picture of her on her 80th birthday.
IN MEMORY - GRANNY
Here I am with Mommy and Grandma. I'm sad to say that my Grandma has now gone to heaven. She was a nice lady who gave me lots of treats and cuddles. I miss her alot, but maybe my other friend Ginger is looking after her now and playing with her.
IN MEMORY - GINGER
This is a picture of me with my friend Ginger. Ginger has gone to heaven now. I know for sure that there is a heaven because my Daddy told me so. Ginger was very sick and walked with pain when she could walk at all and sometimes she even had trouble breathing. She was the bravest dog I met, to fight such a battle.
Goodbye Ginger, until we play again.
Just this side of Heaven, is a place called Rainbow Bridge
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigour, those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing, they miss someone very special to them who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent, the eager body quivers. Suddenly they begin to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, their legs carrying them faster and faster. YOU have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.......
